These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of MacroCount, a calorie tracking mobile application, provided by MacroCount. By downloading, installing, or using MacroCount, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Acceptance of Terms

By using MacroCount, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our App.

Description of Service

MacroCount is a mobile application that helps users track their daily calorie intake, log food consumption, monitor weight progress, and achieve their nutrition goals. The App includes features such as:

• Food logging and nutrition tracking
• Barcode scanning for food products
• Weight monitoring and progress analytics
• Personalized calorie and macronutrient goals
• Photo analysis for nutrition detection
• Premium subscription features

User Accounts and Registration

To use certain features of MacroCount, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

Rights You Grant to MacroCount

By using MacroCount, you grant us the right to:

Your Rights and Responsibilities

You have the right to:

• Personal Use: Use MacroCount for your personal nutrition tracking and health monitoring
• Account Control: Delete your account and all associated data at any time

You are responsible for:

• Using the app in accordance with these Terms
• Not sharing your account with others

Premium Subscription

MacroCount offers premium features through paid subscriptions. Premium subscribers gain access to:

• Limitless Food scan with AI
• Detailed progress tracking and reports
• Enhanced barcode scanning capabilities
• Priority customer support

Subscription terms:

• Subscriptions are managed through App Store/Google Play
• Automatic renewal unless cancelled
• No refunds for partial periods

Prohibited Uses

You may NOT use MacroCount to:

• Upload false or misleading nutrition information
• Attempt to reverse engineer or hack the application
• Use the app for illegal activities or harmful purposes
• Share copyrighted content without permission
• Create multiple accounts to abuse free trial periods
• Use automated scripts or bots to access the service
• Distribute malware or engage in phishing activities

Health and Medical Disclaimers

MacroCount is not a medical device or healthcare service. The app:

• Provides general nutrition information for educational purposes only
• Should not replace professional medical advice
• Cannot diagnose, treat, or cure any medical conditions
• May contain inaccuracies in nutrition data from third-party sources

Always consult with healthcare professionals for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Third-Party Services

MacroCount integrates with third-party services including:

• Nutrition Databases: FatSecret API, OpenFoodFacts
• Authentication: Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In
• Cloud Services: Supabase for data storage and synchronization
• Payment Processing: RevenueCat, App Store, Google Play

These services have their own terms of use and privacy policies that may apply to your use of MacroCount.

Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of MacroCount, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, are owned by MacroCount and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of the data you input into MacroCount, including food entries, photos, and personal information.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MacroCount shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Damages resulting from inaccurate nutrition information
• Health consequences from app usage
• Service interruptions or technical issues

Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount paid by you for MacroCount services in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold MacroCount harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the app, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:

• Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms
• Providing an in-app notification for significant changes
• Sending an email notification if you have provided your email address

Your continued use of MacroCount after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Termination

Either party may terminate these Terms at any time:

• You may: Delete your account through the app settings
• We may: Suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms

Upon termination, your right to use MacroCount will cease, and we may delete your account data according to our Privacy Policy.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable international laws and regulations. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration or in courts of competent jurisdiction.
